My Three Daughters

Piper June joined our family on June 10 at 5:20 PM. She weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz and measured 19 3/4 inches. She's a good eater and snuggler and has a lot of dark hair. Mom is feeling pretty good. Big sisters are both thrilled that they have a little sister.

This is the only picture we have on a digital camera. Better pictures of the baby will be forthcoming.

You keep getting girls. ;-)
Congrats to all, especially Sharon. That's hard work, bringing a new life into the world. You all look very happy. Looking forward to seeing some more pictures of her.

Would be interested in knowing the story behind her name.

Congratulations, Matt and Sharon! I'm sure the girls will be wonderful, helpful "big sisters."

Best of luck during the coming weeks of adjustment.

Thanks all. So far things are going well. The girls are enjoying the new sister. They are both very interested in helping out. Rachel in particular keeps telling us to make sure we support her head when holding her.

Nelle, Sharon came up with Piper. I wasn't so sure, but then grew to like it. When we were in the hospital, we had two names - Piper and Annabelle. When she was born I felt very much she was a Piper. Sharon had been more unsure, I thought, but it turns out she thought Piper looked like a Piper too. So that made it easy. June is because she was born in June and it sounds good with Piper.
