In the heartless neighbors category...

Or perhaps it should be in the sloppy reporting category. This story states that seventeen neighbors are petitioning to get a family to remove a camper that's an eyesore and hurting property values. It's against zoning rules, too, apparently. The caveat is that the family with the camper lost a son in Iraq and the camper is a reminder of him.

What's missing from the story is whether the neighbors approached the camper family and discussed moving it before filing the petition. What was camper family's response? Did the seventeen families know that it reminded camper family of the lost son? Did you ask those questions, Press Citizen reporter person?

This is why when the PC called me last week and asked me sign up for their paper, I told them that I found the paper to be less than satisfactory.
